...it sounds similar to some of the things we're already witnessing, too. So my question is why are we seeing these? It's like these are purposefully baiting us to look into what the old crew left behind but only in bits and pieces.

Do you think someone's trying to toy with us, or do you think this is for our benefit?

Depends how optimistic you're feeling about it. On the one hand, you'd think this information would help to give us pieces for a more complete picture of what happened during the winter tour. On the other hand, this can also be seen as a distraction from what's going on right now.

All the same, it seems to be the only leads we've found. Regardless of personal feelings, I think it's not a bad idea to pursue it.

Pursue everything until you can't, right? It anything it'll at least rule it out if it really leads us nowhere. It's what I've been trying to do myself.

I've been wondering this as well. I thought perhaps it was some sort of distortion - like perhaps if we are trapped in a significantly large issue with these cosmoelectromagnetic waves, that occasionally these experiences are where they waver.

But it does not yet answer many questions. The information trickles, and doesn't flow.
