[ eyes metis in the corner... hi were you expecting a silly and chill curfew? well that could still happen but diluc and dion are trying to ruin it for everyone. ]

The further they enter [the Luxurious Venus combination spa & hot springs], the more heightened the distinct sensation of being watched becomes. It isn't long before a song begins to filter in through the speakers overhead, thrumming through the walls. The mirrors stationed around the salon portion of the spa itself seem to shudder, shimmer, and if gazed upon too long, will begin to morph your features in the reflection into those of loved ones, into those who you have the deepest regrets. They gaze upon you with eyes that are full of malice, anguish, judgment, and desperation. Their hands bang against the mirrors, claw at them until their touch is bloodied from within the glass. Harder and harder they scratch and pound against the mirror glass, the lights dimming and the sclera of their eyes shining wet and hungry.
Whispers surround the two of them, and while one would think it'd be easy to simply walk the fuck right out of here, it isn't. It's suddenly black, pitch black, all the lights off, everything silent.
And then, in familiar voices, voices of the past, voices of those you long for, voices of who you miss the most:
And we passed through the cavern of rats. And we passed through the path of boiling steam. And we passed through the country of the blind. And we passed through the slough of despond. And we passed through the vale of tears. And we came, finally, to the ░̛͘͝░̶͠░̵̡͜͜░̸̷̨͟░̛͘͝░̶͠░̵̡͜͜░̸̷̨͟.
The ground tremors beneath your feet, briefly — and then. The dark lifts, the lights overhead flickering back to life and the faces of those lost to you, here or long ago, are gone. You are left alone with your thoughts as suddenly a table full of magazines falls over in the last of the settling, spreading magazines all over the place... and also a beat up data pad.
...some people may vaguely recognize faces and voices from diluc or dion's past.
but anyhow. diluc sighs and clears his throat. ]
...As I was saying. This isn't the first time old records have been found aboard the Eudora. You're welcome to take a look.
If the pattern's consistent, there're at least two more people on this ship who found something this week, too. Thanks for this though. [ ... ] What do you make of all of it?
...it sounds similar to some of the things we're already witnessing, too. So my question is why are we seeing these? It's like these are purposefully baiting us to look into what the old crew left behind but only in bits and pieces.
[ wanting to shitpost but wanting to do info...tch...
no im kidding. this is interesting - temenos immediately goes to look at the datapad, scrolling through it if it's offered and reading...fascinating. ]
... There were posters with unusually large rats in the movie theater the week that Nodd and I tussled with the ogre. [ shrek, ] And messages about it in the HERMES, as well... interesting.
Throné and I have been collecting as much of the information as we can to analyze - with two of these or so per week, we're beginning to amass quite a bit of information. The more information, the easier the truth will come to light.

Well, this isn't doing anything to dissuade me from thinking that the storms are relevant to our current situation.
